The Thought Process: Hydro74 is a Orlando based designer, otherwise known as Joshua M. Smith. The soul purpose of my career is to push the boundries in doing what I feel is relevant to the market as well as extract various elements and trends to be able to offer them up in my own personal work. But let’s be honest. I do what I love because I love it. Not because I have to do it, nor am forced to do it, but rather passionate about doing what I do. I firmly believe in having set style tones, yet a sense of diversity to make any various project unique to the demands that are set forth.
Type Treaments & Branding Typography is far more than just a simple addition to a product or brand, it is what sets the tone for the entire piece. Each letter has a way of reacting and uniting to form meaningful, powerful words that embrace a sense of emotion or power. With that knowledge, producing pieces that best represent the needs is what Hydro74 prides itself on to help other brands find their identity and voice, philosophically and aesthetically.
Apparel Development Apparel is a amazing medium that is widely embraced by masses to best symbolize one’s individuality while conforming to various cliques. This is something I fully understand and appreciate. Even to the point that a close friend & I put on a T-Shirt Gallery Show that grows in attendence and online with each new version that is produced. Apparel is everything that is meaningful in design because it is a common bond everyone shares and voices our most inner feelings without having to openly state it each and every time we speak. It is the true cog in the wheel of conformity that allows us the illusion of individuality and our own personal choice to be unique in this very common world.
Illustration Complexity and a fluid organic approach is what is highly valued in each and every piece. A Illustration to me is something that tells a story with out words needed. It builds a bond with the viewer who will either get it, or find it horrible, yet, the interaction is what is desired when doing a piece. Some Illustrations are trend based iconic structures meant to embrace the masses to encourage sales, while others are explorations turned to symbolic ideas on paper or fabric. Illustration is something I find deep meaning in.
Other Services & Development It is not always what you might expect. Over the years of my career in design, I’ve been active in various other aspects of design that has helped create, develop and direct various pieces to become successful in their usage.

We are proud to say that our entire range of Limited Edition art and artwares are all made in England. We produce many of the items in house at our factory in York. With our ceramics being produced in Stoke-on-Trent, our Luggage in the South West and new furniture in the North East. We use the finest components and manufacturers.
We ship Worldwide with FedEx.
We ship all art and artware Internationally using FedEx - this means that your prints, cushions or even an eyemask is fully tracked until it arrives at it's destination. It also means that when it leaves us it just takes a couple of days Worldwide. But please remember we print all our art prints and canvas prints on demand to your specification - that takes around 10-12 working days - but if FedEx ship there so do we!
All your import duties are paid!
Not only do we ship worldwide as inexpensively as we can, but that shipping cost also covers any customs and excise duty. So there are no nasty surprises when your item arrives to you.
Hahnemühle Paper & Canvas used on ALL our Limited Edition Prints.
We are now using Hahnemühle paper and canvas for all our limited edition prints. Widely regarded as the World's best paper we use Photorag 308gsm as standard for all our paper prints and 400gsm Hahnemühle Daguerre Fine Art Canvas for our printed boxed canvas. As a result our Art prints are better than ever - colours are even richer and deeper with even more precision and detail. All our prints are a flat matt finish - looking as close to Original Art as possible. All items are manufactured and lovingly hand finished in the UK.

Due to demand we have increased the size options of our Limited Edition art prints and printed canvases. We have added a huge A0 841mm x 1189mm paper print at £139 and also an A4 Contemporary Framed print - this has an external frame size of 330 x 417mm / 13" x 16.5”.

To guarantee that all our limited edition art prints and canvases are part of a 250 edition, we are now shipping each with a Certificate of Authenticity that is not only numbered but also features a hologram that is twinned with a hologram on the back of the print. Each hologram is also numbered and tamperproof.

Cup & Saucers - Series 4 coming soon!
Get ready for Series 4 of our Limited Edition Cup & Saucers! We will begin the 4th year of cup and saucers in the next month. These popular editions have included designs from James Jean, Audrey Kawasaki, Frank Kozik, Sylvia Ji and many more - and Series 4 is shaping up to be just as exciting! We begin the series with 'The life and Times of Paul Barrington' (pictured above) by The London Police. Chaz and Bob, who form the London Police, are British street artists that have headed to Amsterdam and created an army of International fans whilst exhibiting all over the world. Other artists featuring in Series 4 will include new artists Kinsey, Heidi Kenney, Amanda Visell and the return of Frank Kozik, Yoskay Yamamoto. Plus a few more surprises to come!

Our Kozyndan dinnerware featuring their much loved Bunny Blossom print has been extremely popular over the last year. Well we have some good news with additions to the set. We will soon have a Teapot, a pasta 'Oliver' bowl, espresso sets plus some cute little egg cups! Bunnytastic.
