Fashionista

Art and fashion are wrapped together tighter than two tongues in a big fat snog of love. They have always inspired and fed off each other and never more so than now. That’s because designers, illustrators and photographers are merrily blurring the two mediums together to come up with highly decorative and very ‘wearable’ work (if you’re a wall).

One-off pieces from artists who previously only worked to magazine or stylists’ commissions are becoming increasingly accessible, and hurray for that.

Of course the great thing about spending your dough on great art rather than great big hand bags is you get to look at the art all year round and it doesn’t have to match your dress/t-shirt/lounge pants – or does it?
