Jon Burgerman is a UK-born, Brooklyn-based artist who instigates improvisation and play through drawing and spectacle. He applies his aesthetic blend of humor, pop culture and doodles to a multitude of forms including canvases, large-scale murals, sculpture, toys, apparel, design, print and people (as tattoos and temporary drawings).
Burgerman studied fine art at The Nottingham Trent University and went on to show his art around the world, create his own brand of lifestyle products and collaborate with international brands (Nike, Sony, Pepsi, MTV and others). Following the publication of his monograph, Pens Are My Friends, Burgerman relocated from the middle of England to New York City. He now focuses on creating a world of work that playfully encourages others to participate, and he regularly delivers keynote lectures and runs creative workshops at conferences and universities around the world.
